Review - Aroma Magic Vitamin C Skin Lightening Gel

As we all know winters are almost over and summer is round the corner. Instead of heavy duty moisturisers, now it's time to use some light weighted gel based moisturisers and lotions on our skin. In summers, due to the brutal beams of sun, pollution, dust and grime, our skin end up lifeless and dull. And furthermore, an extraordinary care is required to hydrate our skin, thus retaining it's natural glow. We always seek for products that can do wonders for our skin and it's sort of difficult to choose the right product that suits are skin well, protecting our skin in summers.

Sunscreens are also very important part of our skin regime, but, we all refrain from layering up our skin with lots of products, rather than that we favor products that contains a decent amount of SPF (Sun Protection Factor). Today, I am reviewing a product that gives both hydration and sun protection.

Without any further ado, let's jump straight into this product review and know what it's all about.

🍊 PRODUCT CLAIMS

This product is free of petrochemicals, phthalates (plasticisers), toxic ingredients, artificial fragrance and color. The preparation involved natural source of Vitamin C that lightens and provides protection while Grape Juice guards the skin against UV damage and ageing. It is powered with the extracts of Cherry and Licorice, hence, enriched with anti-pigmentation and skin regeneration properties. The exquisite fusion of essential oils of Neroli and Lemon helps to maintain the natural pH balance and promotes skin elasticity while the Saffron Infused Water helps to treat blemishes, leaving your skin lighter and lusturous all day long.

The packaging of this product will surely going to win your hearts and it's attractive to the point that only for once you are going to snatch your hands on it at one look. It comes in a white cardboard box that shows all the Vitamin C infused fruits picture. Inside of the container, you will find a gorgeous red plastic tube with a white screw cap that helps to prevent product leakage. And, thus making it sturdy, hygienic and travel friendly. The details of the product are clearly mentioned on both the box and the tube. The gel contains SPF 30, we can use it under the sun.

🍒 TEXTURE AND CONSISTENCY

The texture of the gel is neither too thick nor runny. It has a medium consistency which glides smoothly on my skin, and with no hassle gets easily absorbed in the skin without leaving any white cast or residue. Despite the fact that it's called Gel, but, it's not as similar as any other gel based products in the market. The colour of the cream is off white. It is smooth and does not feel oily and greasy. Coming to it's fragrance it has a nice citrusy and fruity smell that doesn't linger on the skin for long.

The shelf life of this product is 3 years the from manufacturing date.

🥝 PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

I have been using this product for about 2 months till date. Before applying this gel, I wash my face with a face wash and pat dry. After cleansing and toning my face, I liberally apply this in the form of small dots all over my squeaky clean face and gently massage it for a good couple of minutes until it gets absorbed in the skin completely. It gets absorbed in the skin super fast and makes skin fresh, supple and matte.

Properties

I have combination to oily skin type and I love using Vitamin C products on my skin as my skin reacts well with such products and combinations. We know that Vitamin C products are generally supposed to be used in the evening, but, as this gel contains SPF 30 in it, it can safely be applied on the skin during daytime. I usually use this cream under my mousse and water/silicone based foundations. Though it has not caused any adverse effects on my skin. It has not caused breakouts and dark spots. Even, when I don't wear makeup, as usual, I do my regular CTM routine, and, in place of moisturiser I use this gel. It makes my skin super fresh and matte. I can see an instant brightness and glow on my face right after the application.

Performance

As I have already stated above that I have a combination to oily skin and I have been using this product for about 2 months. Coming to it's performance I have not seen any drastic changes in my skin. Like, I do have some minor pimple marks. I have not noticed any change in the appearance of my marks. Yes, it does make skin lusturous and radiant and the good part is that it protects the skin from the harsh effects of the sun, thus making skin less prone to sun damage and tan. It lightens the skin to some extent, but, as far as facial flaws are concerned, I personally have not noticed that yet.

• Brightens up the complexion and lightens the skin to some extent with regular usage
• Attractive packaging with beautiful red and white combination

• Affordable as compared to other Vitamin C infused products
• Easily available
• Free of chemicals and parabens
• Not tested on animals

CONS:

• As mentioned on the container, it's suitable for all skin types, but, I personally believe it will not help dry skin beauties
• Though this product contains a good amount of SPF, but sunscreen needs to be applied separately when using this gel

OVERALL SUMMARY

My final thoughts about product is that it is a good and inexpensive product as it contains Vitamin C. It's gel-based, light moisturiser that can be easily be applied under makeup. I have been using other products from this brand and they have not disappointed me till now. Overall, you must try this product at least once and experience the goodness by yourself.
